i like myrtle beach there is just some much to do i only wish vacations lasted longer

i seen a huge sea turtle while we were fishing there
Last summer i went to myrtle beach and went fishing on one of the piers… we saw 4 families of rays, sharks swarming around the spanish mackeral carasses, and a couple flounders…excellent times.

@TNBASSIN1 you can use drop nets for pretty huge fish but if theyre 6 ft or larger u’ll have to land the fish on the beach
@TNBASSIN1 you have to beach the fish, some people have a swinging gaff, but i prefer to beach them

@derekE201470 yes the pier is wheelchair accessible. you may have to go through the restaraunt to go through though. I was there this past weekend on pier 14. nice area.

Really we try to place as much bait on the hook as possible. 2 or 3 mullet if you can.
do you use a total mullet and how to you place them on the hook?
Yeah they say most shark attacks happen in 3ft of water or less.
I went to matagorda bay last month and had a 2 foot shark swim aptly next to me in water less than a foot and a half, I’m going back next week “going to try my hand a shark fishing”…
We were using Penn 9-0 reels with 50lb mono and a 6ft 250lb steel leader.
what size penn is that and what lbs lind and braid or mono
Just started really fishing specific for sharks(Literally a week ago) on my kayak with my girlfriend. Found the edge of a reef in Galveston and caught 12 in 2 hours up to a huge blacktip 5 feet long. pulled my ass around for 20 minutes! I’m addicted now!

keep your bait in plastic bags in the cooler so that the water dosent wash away all the blood and shark attracting juices
